Hey,
check this game I'm making called GANGFORT. A lot is still in WIP, but core has been done and mostly polishing is left. Here is the first screenshot of it below.

Looks appealing, the colors are pleasing my eye and catch the original. Characters look nice too.
If the gameplay and the performance will be about as good as the looks, I bet this will be an awesome game.

Us - me and my game :). But there is an artist and a sound/music composer working though, they will be in in-game credits.

Thanks. Will do my best. By the way, characters might change a little bit, so that they would look a little bit less similar to the original.

try some alternative solution, mate, your fingers will cover a third of the screen and won't be as reactive as you expect them to be

The vignette should probably be over the HUD.
The spritework looks amazing, but the controls, as Meower said, look a bit cluttered.

- Move Menu button to the empty side of the screen, or underneath the Health hud. The latter would probably be the better option, since the topright is ideally where the kill log would be.
- Remove the Jump key. Keep your movement keys unified
- Remove the Movement keys, replace them with a dial. This is for several reasons,
- Unifies visual design
- Can be used for finer control over character movement, allowing players to nudge themselves and walk slowly when they need to. This is particularly important for Engineers.
- Allows easier diagonal jumping, and automatic jumping for the lazy.
- The game plays like a twinstick shooter. Embrace it.
- Move the Health hud to the position that the Menu button used to be
- Flip the Health hud horizontally. Keep an inward flow with the visual design

UI design is difficult to perfect with touchscreen, especially considering the pace and playstyle of Gang Garrison 2. For example: Using an artillery-style aim is tedious and hard to learn (especially with rifleman who's aim needs to be pretty good for distance shots), whilst using a point-to-kill style aiming method is impractical considering how people's finger must cover the enemy they are trying to track..

You should also try adding support for Bluetooth controllers and things like NVIDIA Shield, because as Saniblues said, the game plays like a twinstick shooter. Not as popular as touch-screen controls, due to the player needing to buy the Bluetooth controller, but still a neat thing to include for those who have smaller screens or big meaty fingers.

Don't make it random. The whole point of disguising is to trick the enemy into doing things. For example, disguising as a medic to trick a heavy into feeling safer around you so you can kill him.

It will be random for now, because it will feel too clunky to add one more dialog. Later might change, when(if it gets successful) inventory comes in.

It's not a top priority right now. Plus, I haven't found an alternative. Saniblues' idea is not bad, but the menu button covers death list. I'm thinking about releasing an update later on with selectable control scheme, because in real-world, it actually doesn't feel that bad as you think at all. You will be playing with two hands either way and you will need to release the shooting joystick to maximize jump, because you will be walking slower when shooting.

Seriously? As an indie developer, you have a major advantage over the gaming industry because you can get feedback from potential players about your game which will improve it before it even gets released. When everyone is stating a flaw in your game, why do you continue to dismiss their suggestions? Please get off your high horse and start taking the constructive criticism more seriously.

I asked opinions from a lot more people than just this forum and no one complained about it. For the joystick, I will see how players react to it after the release. For spy's disguise - as I said, I want to keep some things that would be available only for specific items, when inventory system comes up.

But a usable disguise system should not be an unlock.

That's because we're still using Game Maker 8. Studio actually compiles games now, as opposed to encrypting all the source files and packaging them with a GM runtime. The only things that would be lost if we made the leap would be some menu functionality and the plugin system entirely.
That's not entirely relevant here, though. I'm gonna let it be the OP's call whether he wants this discussion to stop or not.

Might I perhaps suggest a swipe interface as opposed to an omnipresent Menu button? Like, swipe the top or side of the screen to pull it down. You could additionally use such a thing for things like a disguise menu and building options.

How would you display it for player to make it clear then? And there isn't really stuff to hide, it's all needed to see in real-time(except menu)

I mean, what you could do is a quick and easy "tutorial" upon joining a server for the first time, just to signify the fact that if you swipe to the right to pull up an options menu, and swipe to the left for your weapon menu (disguise kit, build menu, etc).
You don't need to make them sit through an entire tutorial since most of that junk is really basic,

I get your idea. But there isn't really anything to hide. Arrows, joystick, jump - always needed. Health/ammo/secondary bar - also. Build/destroy sentry, cloak, disguise - same... UI will probably get a lot messier with swiping integrated.
Where do you think "capturing" indicator should be put? Not sure if I really want to put another UI element on screen.

As a game designer I'm very interested in how the gameplay is going to feel on the small screen. I noticed the characters take up more of the screen than they do in Gang Garrison, so you have a bit less range of vision (except perhaps when scoped as Long Gun Guy), but obviously not to the point that it would ruin the game. I imagine the characters won't move as fast as a result, but I'm sure the game will still be tactically interesting because, you know, TF2 mechanics. Have you discovered anything interesting that you might want to do that's different from other TF2 clones?
I also have a legitimate question about Spy: If choosing Sneakman's disguise is an unlock-able item, will it be balanced compared to the random-disguise kit? It would be neat if there were perks for going with random disguises. The only issue I can think of there is that some players will simply keep re-rolling the random disguise until they get one they want...

I would like to see this in the android's store, seems to be cool and well done, I like the colours but one thing grinds my gears and it's that how will the medic heal if he can only use the needle gun then it will lose it's only good ability the healing, also I didn't saw a sentry in the vid. Maybe you did explain it earlier for someone else, I couldn't read the whole topic, sorry if I'm like the 6th person who asked these questions. But maybe even the answer is that it is notdone yet right?
Edit:will we see more maps in the beta cause I'm really intrested. As I mentioned before the art of the game is great and dayum those colours.

New map is under construction :). As for bots, in this video it's just the first week of working on them. Of course medic will be healing and engineer putting sentries :). As medic, you will be able to just tap on your teammate on-screen and healing will start. Of course it will be in android's app store.

The AI looks great! I love how they somewhat act like an actual player, where they pick alternate paths and even choose a path behind them instead of all of them picking the same pathway to get to a certain position.
