The third apocalypse

Let's hope it's the last one for a while.

Our new hoster informed me a week ago that they would perform maintainance today (starting 11PM MEST) during which our virtual server would be rebootet. This should only cause a short downtime, but I didn't test restarting the server so far and if something goes wrong (e.g. the webserver won't start up) I'll have to set everything working again by hand.

The problem is that our internet connection at home broke down over the weekend and additionally the maintainance takes place in the middle of the night, local time. So let's just hope everything goes smoothly, otherwise the forums will be down for several hours.

I will try to make sure it doesn't come to this, so no undue panic... yet. :P

I checked the server config again and ensured that the lobby would come up again too on reboot. Then I rebooted the server for testing (as you may or may not have noticed, it caused a downtime of roughly a minute).

Everything worked fine, so I'm feeling pretty confident that there won't be any problem tonight when our hosters do the maintainance. How long we'll be offline will now depend entirely on them.

Redirected the lobby while it was down, but it was back up pretty quick and switched it back over.  All is good.
