Too long have we been missing our own clone of an important character in Team Fortress history: the Civilian. The only class that was not carried over to Team Fortress 2. We're going to one up them though. Not only do we have a completely random extra character from a freeware game, but we also have our own version of the Civilian (in the readme he can be called "the citizen"). Features of the civilian: Only one attack, an umbrella swing. Takes at least 2 hits to kill any class. No alt fire Low health No ranged attack If you use this character you are a MANLY MAN of the highest caliber LINKS: The .exe!!!The .gmk!!!I'm also keeping a list of every single file I had to edit from the original b43. So far I'm at 11, counting created sprites and with some grouping. I'll put that up for links after I finish. !IMPORTANT!Press "v" in the character select menu to use The Civilian.
TO BE DONE:Add "death by umbrella" and class logo Halve current health and damage. redo the attack action so that only the arm has an animation and you don't turn invisible while you attack.

The cart was his replacement and the train was his right-hand man.

I say that we use this version instead of b43. It's the same version but with the civilian!

I've learned a few things from this test: Standing still enhances umbrella attack accuracy. Hitting a opponent with a umbrella doesnt knock them back. This attack is superior to the spy stab [Both in Damage and Reload speed]. I can still survive a attack from a single sticky. Wall climbing is still possible. Overall, he is awesome. BTW: Scouts still rape everyone and lack melee. I say that we use this version instead of b43. It's the same version but with the civilian! I don't think the creators would like it. If they do, I hope they making "Civilian" the starting class to prevent "Headstarts" that "Scouts" obtain in the beginning of the round.

Interesting... This attack is superior to the spy stab [Both in Damage and Reload speed].
Not true, it does about half as much damage. I'm going to lower it next version. The reload speed is much faster though. A major difference is that you can keep moving while doing it too. I can still survive a attack from a single sticky. Wall climbing is still possible. Health is 100, I'm going to lower that too. I'll fix the wall climbing (for civ at least) Scouts still rape everyone. Not my problem!

Can't we have vip maps now? I mean, just replace the intel code and stuck it to a civillian. In maps where there aren't civillians for both the teams we could put a timer and "checkpoints" that extend the time limit.

And we need to limit the maximum number of civilians per team

And we need to limit the maximum number of civilians per team 1vs1? I thought of levels made like this: - BLU team has the civillian caught in a sort of "cage" (his respawn area) where he either can't escape (because RED has to activate a switch to open the door) or he can walk through it, like the walls of RED spawns, but is very likely to get killed. As RED frees him or makes the area safe, the civillian runs toward his team's base. If he succeds in a certain amount of time, RED wins and humiliation is started. If he dies, he's sent back to the cage or to a checkpoint, which also adds additional time to the mission. To elude him being overkilled his umbrella can be used to stop bullets at the cost of 25 % of his maximum speed. Killing the civillian results in 2 points, having hime reach a checkpoint 3 and the final point 5. - Both the teams have their own civillian that have to be brought to a common area. He'll be the only one to bring the secret intel to the mysterious PRPL Gman, colored of purple. Naturally the civillian's pretty slow, so both the teams have enough time to prepare a defence. In addiction to this the civillian is the only guy to be able to "float" through big parts of the map, making for his lack of mobility on the ground. - Civillian is a normal secret class in ctf maps. If he kills someone with the umbrella he gets 2 points. If he gets an intel he gets 15.

This sounds cool and simple, and it's a good option if implementing a VIP gamemode becomes too hard. The cage idea sounds too complicated, and it's more like a hostage map on CS. Also, BLU should lose points if the civilian dies inside the cage or something like that, because sometimes you can shoot inside the enemy spawn.
