That actually sounds like a decent puzzle game. So, it's like, you're in a lab, and there's a frozen door. Then you switch the land to Desert and then it melts. Like that?

I had an idea: whenever you go to another world or level, the settings dramatically change (grass land is the first level, desert land the second etc.) but your gameplay doesn't.
What about a game where the exact opposite happens?

Basically, you're in this big lab-thingy, where a number of obstacles must be overcome in order to make progress in the game. By pressing a key however the setting change from the lab thing to a grass land.
The switch of settings also resutls in different rules applied to that particular world (dumb example: there's a big pool that you can't pass, so you switch from lab settings to "ice land" settings and water becomes ice, or you make it all desert and shit and it evaporates). Sometimes, due to a what looks like a glitch, there's some features that are locked in the level (for example, a Disco setting or a Medieval setting) and even if you change the world settings, the Disco/Medieval stuff is integrated in it and changes its appearance (and sometimes its features).
Also, each setting has its own version of the main tracks playing on the particular level.
Sounds awsome

Exactly.
But it's just a dumb example, more complex stuff eventually will come.
For example, let's say there's a small plant laying in a pot. The exit door is up in the air, but you dunno how to get there. Here's what you'll do:
1) You turn the scenery into a Grass Land. The plant grows and it becomes a tree. You try jumping on it, but sadly there's bees up there!
2) You turn the scenery into Ice Land. The bees are now gone, but the floor is all slippery and shit. However, you can jump on the tree and land on the exit door (or better yet, exit floating platform with rockets).

There's some times where using the lab setting is important too, but they should be rare.

I'd also love to make the main character Russian and the whole story set in Russia.
Just to do the russian inversion meme (World changes YOU!)

Also, you only have a pod with all the "layers". The pod is on the right of the keyboard (the part with all the numbers on it) While you use the WASD keys to move around. You can also crawl and carry one item.

Oh god, I am going to sprite the main character, whether or not it comes out good.

EDIT:
Oh, by the way, he's not a furry. That's just his giant beard.

I was thinking about a balding HWG-esque lab worker
But yours is twice as fun.

He drank too much vodka after being shot out of a cannon into a B-2 and fell into a missile silo drunk where nuclear waste was leaking and his vodka became nuclear and allowed him to change the terrain in the level.

For how much I'd love that to happen, it is still very offensive. Let's say he was drunk, wandered around the russian countryside, fell in a truck carrying SCIENCE stuff to a secret lab, awakes in the lab settings unconscious and finds a calculator.
"Oh am I drunk... I wish I was outside this place."
Then his fingers slip on the 1 Key of the calculator and PUFF!, the world around him changed.
Surprised but homesick, our hero (Vladimir Vodkuseski) seeks for the exit of what I would call brain rape.

Entrilling worlds Vladimir can switch to:

1) Grassland
2) Desertland/Fireland
3) Iceland
4) Giantland
5) Waterland
6) Spaceland
7) Nightland/Horrorland
Cool Classyland (Black and white world, the one of mute movies, with a british theme)
9) Mindfuckland (Think of any Rayman 1 level)
0) Default Labland

lol at smiley Cool

I am going to fetch music for this.

Main Menu/Tutorial Level

Grassland
Desertland
Iceland
Giantland
Waterland
Spaceland
Horrorland
Classyland
Mindfuckland
Tinyland

Will post more later. The Grassland is probably the best one.

Ya kind of didn't get what I said.

There's gonna be like a total of 5 monotone themes, but once you go into another dimension they change instruments according to the world's theme.

Like, think of Braid-like theme for grassland and a lot of twinkles for the icy one.

Not really actually. I've got a nifty programme that does the job perfectly.
It's called MAGIX Music Maker something and it's pretty cool.

Oh I'd love to, but the thing's like 10 GBs big, including the soundpools and instruments.
Also the fucker won't support organs.
