on my time travel game idea, ideas for different eras:

-Prehistoric Earth
-The Wild West
-Post-Apocalyptic Future
-Normal Future with robots and shit
-Present Day
-Medieval Era
-World War 1
-World War 2

and you can like go in the past and fuck with history to change present day and anything done in the present day will effect the future

I think there was a game like this... Was it Time Commando?

i think ima take my time travel idea and try to mold it into a game

instead of a vast world you'll be in a town and can fuck around with history and change the fate of the city

anyone up to sprites? i plan on using my old BTS engine to make it into a top-down game like GTA

i dont know when i can start though, i've been busy lately

Hmmm. I had a time travel idea like that once. But it involved 3 characters, one who could swap time (past future and present), one who could be a vampire, werewolf, or human, and a guy who could swap between ice, fire, or non-element. Now this idea was one of my first game maker ideas so it sucked.

i plan on keeping it simple: no story, a city to explore basically the player makes the rules

the hard part i think would be making all the different rooms for all the history changing events

i was considering starting my time travel idea, but then i had another idea......Gambling Future: The Death Games. The story is short, sweet, and to the point: It's the year 2240 and the gambling as we know it has changed. Poker, Roulette, Slots etc. have all disappeared off the face of the earth, and are replaced by new casino games, all resulting in chances of dying. They're all brutal sports-like, you could say, but it's the future, so I'll have to make up some stuff. There would be two story modes: Gambler and Contestant. In the Gambler mode, you play as a gambler who goes to the casinos and gambles on the death games. In Contestant mode, you play as a contestant who gamblers gamble on.

How to win Gambler Mode: Not sure.
How to win Contestant Mode: Not sure.

i've made a final decision on my next project: a game about my favorite sitcom, Family Matters. The game will revolve around Urkel saving the Winslows from Urkelbot, who has once again malfunctioned. But I'll need a spriter, mapper, and music maker. Who wants to help?

Basic particles? Bah.
Implement it for something useful, like a chemistry game.

Idea: a quest for Armageddon Game's Zelda Classic. Maybe based on Megaman Zero (even though there are many Megaman quests for ZC), Metroid (there are really noteworthy ones, like Metroid V), Castlevania (There are none), Okami (None), Touhou (someone was making a Touhou engine for ZC 2.5, but never ever posted again. Someone too made a Cirno quest, but never finished it), Final Fantasy (There was one that was never completed, but the resources are still up).
