The plugin is called "mapspin" and is a non required plugin.
It doesn't alter the gameplay but it's there to make hosting and testing(+making) new maps easier.
Features- Use automatically generated maprotations or map rotations made by others with 0 effort.
- Maps are automatically downloaded and updated if you don't have them/ have an old version.
- Make and share your own maprotations.
- Share maps which people can vote and comment on, as well as view them in detail without having to check them ingame.
- Update your maprotation without restarting your server (maprotations are updated every 10 minutes)
UsageAs a serverhost you'll be prompted to enter a maprotation name, this is the name in the rotations sub menu on the website.
When playing on a mapspin server you can press F3 to vote for a map ingame.
The service supports GGON maps so do not use rotations with those if you're hosting vanilla (which doesn't have GGON yet)TipsYou can use a maprotation like this:
Maps in the rotation are automatically downloaded&updated and the rotation will be launched.
If you make a rotation, make sure that serverhosts can actually enter the name (using anything that isn't alphanumerical is asking for trouble).
Press F3 to vote, if the map is on mapspin and you're logged in, the vote will be recorded. You can only vote once per map.
