I found out GG2 in the TF2 wiki. I was reading an article about the mini-sentry and it said something about the sentry from GG2.
Apparently, it's not there anymore.
same. I played around late 2008 and then joined the forums to find out how to play the secret class (yes, even typing that is making me grimace with embarassment). |

I still think this deserved first place.
Who did win? Soundless Mountain II, some silent hill demake. imo, GG2 was the best overall, but S.T.A.C.K.E.R. was the most original and my personal favourite. |

I was lamenting not being able to play TF2 years ago to my ex, who's an indie game buff. He mentioned this game called GG2 that's 2D but plays basically like TF2. I said I still wasn't sure my connection would be fast enough for online PC play, he showed me a YouTube video of it, and it looked simple enough for my ancient PC to run. I joined 8BitGinno's server, got my ass handed to me by Techno Viking runner and Beasta soldier, and the rest is history.

I joined back in the Wild Wild West days of the game. Heavy had no slowdown, Passworded servers were non-existant, Spies only had one weapon, and Quote had a rocket launcher. If we wanted a moment of peace we'd have to host on an old build.
Someone posted it on Youchew. It was fun until everyone quit.
