Ok, well I just seen this usher climax contest, and i've created my version of climax, ALTHOUGH,
there are some pretty good remixes of 'em in the contest, the best ones are DUBSTEP
and everyone already knows that dubstep is very techincal..but i mean i could've made a dubstep myself but it gets pretty boring with all this dubstep,
why can't someone change it up for once, but don't get me wrong, dubstep sounds cool but it's quite simple to make.
I've made my first dubstep if you'd like to hear it here's the link: people think i'm some sort of professional and what not, but in reality,
i've never been in a professional studio, never worked with a professional artists, producer, writer etc.
I barely have 1 year in making music (self taught). I haven't gone to school for it... yet.

http://www.indabamusic.com/opportunities/usher-climax-remix-contest but i just want an opinion i mean you guys don't really have to vote for me on the website because it's gonna be hard to win it anyways cause all the pro members on that website are hoggin up all the dam attention -_- those dam cheaters. It's gonna be difficult for me to win it because i'm not a pro member, oh well. I just wanted opinions on it and on my first dubstep beat. and the point of the contest is to win 5 grand and to meet usher.

IMO, most pop/electronic music is terrible. I prefer drum'n'bass, particularly Pendulum. Your remix: Not great. Orpheon is better. I think this poll is rigged.

May I ask what program you used? Your basses and control are good, you just have very little actually going on. Like, little variety. Listen to this:
Pretty different style, but notice how he changes what he does every so often. I'd still like to know how you made wobbles that are that dynamic. The second song I couldn't listen because youtube was doing stuff, so yeah. I wish you good luck in achieving your contest. 5 grand is a lot. PS: Contrary to what NAGN says, I and a few here love dubstep. Sadly only a few, but yeah. |
