Yeah you can. You guys are the devs and have the final say, even if that say is unpopular.
The only one who has the "final say" is Medo. All we "devs" can do is code something, push to our branch and pray medo to pull it. Something pretty much everyone could do. :/

The only difference is that me and psycho have some special kind of respect from medo about what we think about design shit you know like how I'm DESIGNER and how I was made designer because NOBODY ELSE COULD DO THE JOB and how psycho was the only DEVELOPER to become a DEVELOPER without making an aimbot first

yes. we have an open development model.
If a non developer (trog, RebelINS) makes the commit and sends a pull request, it should make it in, unless it wasn't adequetly tested

accepted requests is for requests that the moderators of FR themselves are seeing to be added if we haven't decided whether we want it or not yet then we're not moving it there, even if it's a grade A request like this even if someone submits a pull request on github it's entirely possible for the addition to be vetoed by me or psycho if we make solid arguments against it to medo or if medo himself doesn't like the implementation or idea this request itself we can't find anything against but I'm not going to move it there until I'm absolutely certain that I want to see it in, because it's a relatively major change (though it would be pretty nice to personally have for dkoth_styx) and I want to make sure that it won't have any terrible effects on gameplay (because these are srs unlike moveboxes)

Well, I've already done all I can to pimp out the idea in the OP. If it's up to you and Psychopath to decide whether it gets moved to accepted, then I hope you guys can see the cool possibilities in how this can improve maps.

I disagree, its just an add on to Garrison Builder, the only reason not to do so is that Garrison Builder is a mess, but that's probably beyond the point
Garrison builder is full of archaic tools which aren't even used, let alone is properly balanced

I personally support this, because it's a great idea and if it's abused, it's the mapper's fault. The concept is great, the possibilities are great, and the implementation seems pretty small and clean. Also, about Garrison Builder, yes, it's a mess. There needs to be some overhaul of that sometime soon, but that's another story. It shouldn't be hard to add this one feature to a mod of it anyways. So basically: 1. It opens tons of new possibilities and stuff for both srs and non-srs play. 2. It's usage is the mappers decision, so if it's bad for some/any mode, we can always not use those maps. 3. It's already coded and implemented, so very little work besides pushing to git (and the GB work, ok) is necessary for anyone. Give it a chance. wel is there any reason why we shouldn't add this?
cant be worse than moveboxes lol

I was discussing the request. I was pointing out why it's great as it is and should get added. There's not much else to discuss tbh. The implementation is done, the testing ditto, the idea is sound, there are no balance concerns because it's voluntary, all that remains is how to put this in GB (which probably won't ever get handled officially anyways). Judging by public opinion, it's pretty much accepted already. Unless someone raises an actual problem with it, there really is /no/ reason not to add this in a beta/directly in the next release (but reasons for doing it exist, see 1. in prev post).

Then forget GB. It's not important, it's simply the only thing that hasn't been done already. My point still stands.

Wareya, we can't discuss anything except putting these in gg2. (on a side note, i may have just thought of a way to make a more flexible gb. hmm, will have to test...)
