Maid Brigade has been disqualified. They always either didn't answer pms, didn't come, or when they did come they could not get their own host, TMA had a proposed host but they declined.
They got to grand finals before TMA did, if they did their matches that fast why the hell are they taking this long to play TMA?
Anyways, congratulate TMA for winning the 3v3 Vanilla Tourney

It has more to do with the timing of tournament. Most players are still in high school, which means that April/May is still right in the thick of the school year, and if they're in college/university they are probably studying or just finishing finals. Maid Brigade are the ones at fault here because the tournament rules had very lenient rules around scheduling your own matches. If they didn't want to play then they should have formally forfeited citing actual reasons, or found substitutes to play.
If it were up to me, I'd follow Snare's model of running a tournament in the future. Do it in the month of June or July. Have eight teams of 4, with a ton of subs on all the teams. Run 4 matches a week for four weeks (iirc 8 team double elim needs 15 full matches). Any teams that don't have a roster ready (including potential subs) immediately forfeit their match. That's a full tournament complete in one month (unlike airman's original shitshow which was 0% complete over 6 months).

The only thing we know for sure is that they didn't show up or respond to PMs. We can't be presumptuous over their actual intent. The best thing for the team to do now is to PM the tourney organizer and explain their absence, instead of getting baited into posting a defense in this thread.
If there are no more matches, then this thread has served its purpose. No need to continue posting about what already happened, unless it's to comment on the matches that were played.
