Word on the street is that there'll be an update some time in mid to late June.
Word on the street is it'll have alt-weapons.
I know exactly what I'll do with it though. Every class that uses a shotgun as their alt weapon will be given a mauler, same as the engie. The sniper will be given an SMG, the engie and scout will be given either a plasma pistol or a Halo 2 magnum, whichever weapon behaves most like the new pistols (the one that fired as fast as you could hit the trigger and had far more ammunition). If I go with plasma pistols, I'll put a neat little green cooldown mist when you run out of ammunition for it!

Also are they seriously thinking about adding Atl weapons to vanilla?

Also are they seriously thinking about adding Atl weapons to vanilla?
It's only a rumor, so don't put too much stock in it, I was merely explaining what would happen with Halo Mod if it DOES get made.

We've begun updating Halo mod, but there's a part of the update that we're not sure should be in the mod.
Plugin support.
Since many plugins have something on the HUD, you won't be able to see it. I would also like to keep plugins out just incase someone tries to make a hackmod plugin, they wouldn't be able to use it with Halo Mod. Many plugins would also clash with the Halo theme, and I want my mods to be true to their theme. I guess if this makes too much of a hoopla and causes people to not play Halo Mod, we'll put in plugin support. As it stands, for aesthetic reasons and faithfulness to the source material, plugins are out.
Of course, everything else will be added in, especially player kicking.

You mean incase we don't allow plugins in the next update, right? We won't stop updating Halo Mod until GG2 stops updating itself. Besides, we've already updated Halo mod. It's technically ready to be uploaded, but Neu and I have some new features we'd like to add before shipping it out.
I'd love to have chat installed, but until it gets put into vanilla, or until Boners/Jesus server install the same plugin, I see no reason to waste updating time on it.
As for those new features, there will be some very Halo faithful equipment icons to help flesh out some of the HUDs, which are rather bland for some classes. For example, Spy will have a cloaking equipment icon in the top left corner, Engie will have an autoturret equipment icon, and Medic will have a regenerator icon that turns into an invulnerability icon once your uber is charged. I might add some different Uber effects such as a golden medibeam and a gold aura around ubered players rather than the standard team colored palette swap. you'll still be able to tell what color they are, picture it a little like the shield bubbles around the generator coils.
