hm why is there still a distinction between general and comp clans with the roster model. The whole point of that is to merge the two. just have it so you can join as many clans as you want, since clans have to keep a unique group of players for tourneys there really isn't any harm.

The amount of people in the clan depends on how active the clan is. For example, a clan that wars every week can has many chances to use their members so all of them would be able to play with the clan within 2 or 3 weeks if they have like 12 members like BRO they have 12 members every single one of them can play because we have wars so often. But say if a clan has like 16 people and wars only like once a month all of them will play for the clan like once every 3 or 4 months. This is if the leader is trying to make everyone have a chance to play.

mellow's idea is way too hyper-moderated
just make fucking official rosters and only let people fight roster vs. roster in OFICIAL TURNIES and we can go back to BEFORE inactivity warnings and WAN CLAHN ONLY. You know, when you would ask a clan's owner whether the clan was still active instead of just throwing the thread away because of THE TOPIC ISN'T GETTING POSTS OH GOSH

So trog, you're saying
unlimited amount of clans
clans need to have a roster if they want to be ranked/tournaments
only allowed to be in 1 roster

?

makes sense

anyone have any objections against this:

  • No clan limit
  • After 1 week of inactivity I pm a clan leader if he has any plans to do anything soon
  • To enter tournaments and to be ranked on the clan rankings, a clan needs a roster. A roster has a maximum amount of 8 people, and can only be changed at the beginning of the month.
  • Everyone is only allowed to be in 1 roster at a time

Also, I think a clan should only be able to change 2 people on the roster every month to prevent abuse

I think that clans should be able to change the roster at the beginning of a tourney, except for cases when the tourney organizers have to make an exception for clans whose rosters have MIA or otherwise unable to participate players, and the clan is having issues organizing its remaining members.

I don't see how doing it limited every month "prevents abuse". Clans already have policies about new members in wars for the same purpose, and it's better for them to deal with that than the moderators.

so:
At the beginning or a new tournament they could change 4/8 of the team, but during the tournaments they can only change 2 every month.

just add something about mods being able to veto a change so we don't have to have a whole bunch of limits

It prevents people from dropping from the team so a whole bunch of other people who just joined the clan can play for that clan (so the team wouldn't be completely different) and so people can't switch from team to team
Allowing people to switch freely will be a mess (won't solve the problem)

I understand your reasoning but you're taking it to the far extreme and damaging more than you're solving.
