Member overlap shouldn't be an issue as long as each clan can muster at least 8 dedicated players

Oh woops. Forgot to include that you can only be in one comp roster. v: Footpop could choose to be in a different clan roster. 
Well, there's Wesker and Rommel, but that's probably mostly due to their general inactivity.. 
We can't afford to lose any more members! It just wouldn't be fair for the mighty PHS to be taken down due to one change in the rules!  |

You can still be apart of wars with your clan, even if they aren't competitive. You can have wars with your non-comp roster members, just that they won't be ranked.
The competitive roster, at least the way I see it, is a way to have people who would like to be part of the competitive scene but without having a bunch of shared members amongst one another.

I can understand that, but to me, it seems like it's doing too much just to help a pretty small problem. It's a little annoying to find members on another clan and have to decide who gets that member, but it seems like overkill to make it so that you can only be in ONE competitive roster..
I mean, it's a bit of an annoyance when that happens, but forcing people to only play half the time so you can devote most of your attention to just ONE seems like unfair overkill for a minor nuiscance! 2 seems more fair to me, it would be the best of both worlds in my opinion (it encourages members to pick a side more efficiently, encourages more loyalty, and encourages more activity from members without compromising their freedoms too much), but I might be biased since PHS is mostly made of people who're on other clans as well and am afraid that more members will go the way of Footy when we're on a skeleton crew as it is..
Should I take this into PM's? I'd hate to clutter up your clan's thread with mostly unrelated stuff! |

Make a roster for your clan containing some members from your clan (maximum of 8 )
Those people can only be on that roster (1 roster per person) ps every person on a roster needs to have a forum account, no matter if it has 0 posts
Wars between people on rosters are ranked and count for tournaments
There are no downsides to not having a roster except not being able to be ranked/not being able to enter tourneys
There are no upsides to having a roster except for being able to be ranked/being able to enter tourneys
Want to change the people on your roster? At the end of each month, you can swap a maximum of 3 with those maximum of 8 every month, and those people will be able to play for you next month. Don't eel like being on the roster anymore? You're free to leave, but you won't be able to join another one until the end of the month
