no its good falloff starts offscreen so theres a very good indication of when you're dealing less damage. unless theres an actual sprite change which would be even better.

I dont think we need falloff though, and when it comes to airshots its easy to just jump when you shoot to avoid teammates.

OH OH OH AIRSH- FUCK THE ROCKET FADED OUT
THAT KILL WOULD HAVE MEANT THE GAME TOO FUCK
The rocket (currently) doesn't even start to fade while it's visible on screen, how does affected airshots?

Having said that, if fallout is implemented it should ideally start happening sooner than the fadeout does atm
I agree with that.

Actually, if you're making an airshot at an angle, the rocket can fade out before it leaves the screen. if you're walking along with it. If a scout is running away and jumping you can have it fade through them this way. I've had it happen on conflict. I could aim off the screen because I know the map well, and knew the had to go through the upper intel room entry chokepoint.

I've had it happen before. It's funny and frustrating at the same time.

On a related subject: Should the scout's double jump reset his movestatus? You know, like if a scout jumps and gets hit by a rocket, let them double jump to regain full normal control of themselves.
On the subject of movestatus, should rocketed/mined people have less control over themselves than at the moment?

Does runner need it? It already seemed like a fairly even matchup to me, although I don't know how that would change with a lack of fadeout.

As far as Runner vs Rocketman it is fairly easy for a Rocketman to hit a Runner if he knows if the Runner has done his double jump or has been Rocketed so yes I support the Runner being able to "recover" from rocket stun.

It already happens this way. Unless you're petitioning for it to be removed.

Bad wording, I'm just bringing it up, not picking either way.

I support the damage drop-off idea, but, If a Pyro air-blasts a Soldiers rocket at its maximum range, would the damage reset, or would it reverse as a no/low damage rocket?

split the topic at the most reasonable post
nothing personal just doing my job
if you want me to split it somewhere else tell me

so how about them rockets and fading in the middle of the air based on how long the rocket has touched teammates etc

Make it so the rockets start falling off in damage at x time, then fade at x+30 time or some other such increment.

That way when it fades, it's not really a big deal since the rocket wasn't going to do much damage anyway.
