Offence is generally harder then defence; I'd help the runner out on the offence, but stay back enough to where you can defend the intel if your own team fails you.

9 out of 10 times it's better to defend.
I would attack anyways, cause defending is hella gay.
Also I would play runner.

We are on perfect defend spot,defend. You got access to both the down and high area.
Of course i do belivie the one who is on your team can survive long enough to get out of their base and capt the intel.

no but seriously, you should defend. First you should try to stop the intel carrier. And then after, advance a bit to the nearest chokepoint to try and stop any potential infiltrators from squeezing in.
edit: it also depends on the competence and position of your teammates on offense and defense.

If someone is already on defense, let them take care of it. If there isn't, or the defense is incompetent, and lets the carrier get away, take care of the carrier, wait until defense is here, then go on the offense.
