Also KZ, everyone is turning into a general clan to bypass the rules. Like BRO, we are turning to a general clan because there are definitely a lot more benefits as a general clan than as a competitive. In reality BRO is still a competitive clan, but they are under the rules as a general clan.

I think we should be doing this to.

I know why, and I knew that.. that's why I said it in my post! As we both know, almost everyone's going general just to avoid the new restrictions, but as I said in my post, the way I see it, PHS has always been about serious play. It's what the clan was founded on, and as its leader, I won't see that enduring legacy die over some aggrivating new rules! Besides, we don't get that many new members anyway, what would we need with the infinite members boon? We've got enough semi-inactive members as is! Besides, staying competitive will give the clan more options for battle since we'll be allowed to participate in any tournaments. We get more options for less members, and since we don't get new applications that often, it's an acceptable trade.. at least for PHS. I still think that segregating the clans is going to be a bad decision in the long run, but that's not my decision to make.. Just because it fits for PHS (basically), doesn't mean that it's good for everyone else. I'd at least raise that member limit to 10, that's much more fair in my opinion.

I've been itching to make a map lately (this time one less... abstract, at least compared to the ones I've made in the past), and thought it'd be nice to make a PHS-themed map for Yuko's non-war clan contest.

Some elements that might be included are a sunglasses shop, trophies, and the Mexican and Australian flags scattered about, in addition to [PHS] signs and boards strewn about.

Any other ideas/suggestions? (particularly ones regarding settings, not sure if it should be outdoors or urban or something else)

Hmm.. outdoors makes the most sense, and possibly with a big tall sniper tower, since our mascot is the Sniper! You could add a couple shacks, some big tall boulders scattered about.. maybe a mining tunnel with some lanterns on the walls... Oh! You could make that tower I mentioned a water tower, with the PHS logo on it!

Maybe it could be a Dual Koth map, with multiple routes to each of the points.. maybe Red team can spawn on a tall plateau, and Blue team can spawn in an abandoned shack? Just pitching these atcha!

We don't have that many players attending wars in the first place (Craz plays sometimes, KZ sometimes, I can't unless it's on weekends, and same with Commando), and I'm not sure who we can get to replace Footpop as heavy.

Hey now... You said that Fridays were ok as long as they were around 6-7:30 EST.

Also, Footpop left because he wanted to be competitive with a different clan, and you're only allowed to be in one competitive clan.. at least that's what I gathered, he never answered my question. As for members, we've got more members now, and you've been known to participate in a few of the wars we've had, and they've all been at the same time slot. We can make this work and we won't have to give up our legacy or compromise the purpose of PHS to do it! Have faith!

And if it doesn't work out for a month, then I'll ask for everyone's opinion on it. If I get enough sound arguements on it that validate breaking our oath of serious play, then I'll do it.. but only if I get good enough arguements, and only if it doesn't work out after one month. What would qualify as it not working out? If we cannot make any of our wars. Sound fair?

With holiday season over and work-a-day life back upon us, PHS has awoken from their hibernation and is ready for war.

There's a new set of clan rules posted I believe, I'll try to familiarize myself with them..

Well, you can still join if we're competitive; it just means you're not on the roster.

The roster says, "These are the players we use for tourneys and rankings. We may or may not have more than these players, but we don't use them on tournaments and ranked wars."
