...I'm taking a break from all clan activities. I am having real trouble squeezing any enjoyment out of playing this game at the moment and I'm never really going to have any fun if I have to keep getting up at stupid hours of the morning for matches. It doesn't help that class balance is a fucking joke and Constructor is hilariously worthless in any situation that actually matters, or that I have to deal appalling lag no matter where or when I play. 2.3 should have been out months ago.
In this current state, I feel like I've reached my potential for what I can do on my own. I haven't learned a single new skill or tactic in months, and instead am just getting increasingly more cynical and angry at the stupid things I see players do in-game. I have nothing to gain outside of playing the game casually, but at the same time I'm not happy with my own ability yet. It's starting to seem meaningless in general because I get the overarching feeling that very few people actually give a shit anymore.
tl;dr I can't force myself to take competitive play seriously any longer. When/if 2.3 comes out or I get a better connection, I'll see how things settle down. Maybe I'll try and make some maps in the meantime. Until then, I've had enough.

tl;dr I can't force myself to take competitive play seriously any longer. When/if 2.3 comes out or I get a better connection, I'll see how things settle down. Maybe I'll try and make some maps in the meantime. Until then, I've had enough.
Well, that's your choice.. we'll be waiting for you should you ever decide to return! Also, my vote's for ]GC[! I've been curious about their potential, to be honest (as I am with the TSF). I know PHS is the best clan - don't be so silly! - but I've been curious about those GC's.. I had a feeling that the cutesy anime loving SOS would take me by surprise, and I wasn't far off the mark! I'm interested in seeing how the ]GS[ would fare against the might of the PHS, maybe their seemingly relaxed team would take me by surprise as well! |
