Rap can certainly be thought-provoking. But if you're expecting it to come from rappers like Waka, Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. Those who don't broaden their horizons and make sweeping generalizations like "Rap sucks. Period." are obviously judging only be the gangsta rappers who make headlines and capitalize off the notoriety some of rap's lyrics get. All that stuff originated from the west coast with groups like N.W.A. who did "Straight Outta Compton" and "Fuck Da Police" which started the "Beat women, kill cops, smoke drugs, eat pussy" trends in rap.
Rap can be so much more than that, and N.W.A. represent a very silly period in hip-hop that many of the cruder/bad rappers still pay homage to. But that doesn't mean the actual rap can't be good. Eminem is a master of wordplay and can manipulate his style to amazing points, for one.
I wan't implying that rap can't be thought provoking, the song I mentioned earlier is one that I think is pretty darn good. I was trying to explain to those two that their teacher's idea that rap can be classified as poetry - even though the word brings to mind frou frou fanciness - she probably meant it more literally than figuratively.

It was a he, actually, but that's not important.
And in other news, I think we should try having a scrimmage with another clan this week. Maybe Wednesday?

What?
Why is he writing backwards?
And why would we care about what he thinks?

Footpop put some kind of glitch in his name where if you quote him, everything you say is typed backwards.
As for caring, I personally believe that it's important to care about the beliefs and feelings of others. I don't know if he feels the same way, but that might explain it.

*squints* I believe that's Kirtan. Right? I'unno, I'd still care about the feelings of a stranger, or even someone I don't like. I don't know who Kirtan is (meaning I've never met them personally). Either way, I'm probably wrong about Footpop's intentions.

Coming out of lurk mode to say if, considering [GA]'s death, you guys will take me in. After a period of getting used to the new GG, that is.

If you're going to start playing again GA could make a team. LC still plays, Intel plays, I play, and I think wherewolf is starting to play again as well.

The actual GA pretty much haves half the forumers on the clans sections. Unless, the clan is resetted, or something.
