Yeah, CD's harder to get into compared to 2 or 3&K, especially since it's exploration-oriented rather than speed-oriented. But when you do, there's a lot to explore in terms of level design, especially with the time travel feature taken into consideration. Besides a few flaws I'd say it's fun, vibrant, and has a pretty catchy soundtrack(s).

Now it makes me wanna get Sonic CD and spin around Haven as a two-tailed fox; or even better: be a metallic robot and say "Come with me if you want to live"

Yesh! The Taxmang's Sonic CD is out on Steam!
As soon as I get next months aliments from my father, I'll pump up my Paypal account and buy it!
He did a mighty good job at that remake, so, please don't pirate it!

Yes. A remake for pretty much everything that's not made of Nintendium or is a portable Sony console. A Sonic Retro member named Taxman aka Christian Whitehead that made the Retro Engine, together with SEGA. 14th December '11 (Everywhere but Steam) and 19th January '12 (Steam) On PSN, XBLA, Steam, Android market and iTunes, Because Sonic CD is one of the best Sonic games ever made and doesn't deserve a lazy Rom+Emulator release. |

Actually, now that I think about it, I played a fangame/engine test that was made by Taxman.
Retro Sonic, wasn't it?
EDIT: That said, I don't see much change from the original but sonic being of a darker color now.

Yes, Retro Sonic is basically the core engine used for Taxman's Sonic CD.
Along with the engine revamp, the music also loops properly now.
I think that's about it though.
