Ain't dat what you've been doing all along
"this game fucking sucks" vs. "well, i think this game could be better if they changed x, and tweaked y and z might've been good if they implement a and maybe some of b, but c was definitely a hit or miss and bla bla bla im a casual" So how's the former better

because it's calling a spade a spade rather than being a wishy-washy apologetic casual

Looks more like approaching the game with a critical eye than barring it with a good/bad status

The point of being critical is calling something for what it is rather than making excuses.

"I played it, and it sucks but I'll try and conduct a strawman argument why it might be good while it still sucks,
furthermore, I'm going to stress the aesthetic shit with no bearing on the actual gameplay as good in hopes it will cover up for the massive failures of the game"
For what it is, people enjoy what I write about games. Probably because I'm not trying to make excuses for why a certain game is bad.

For what it is, we are not competing in critique writing as far as I know
How's picking the good and the bad sides of something bad criticism?

It's okay, because the crap you throw out about video games doesn't even compete. Your problem is usually either of the following: you don't know anything about an actual video game but throw yourself into the fandom and hype anyway, and then fall back on aesthetic bullshit to try and argue for it when people call the game out as terrible (ie. Skullgirls)
or
you like a game so much that any flaw pointed out is somehow balanced by some obscure or strawman argument you can pick out from disparate observations you make about the game. (ie. sonic adventure 1/2 are great games because they have cool characters and music even though the gameplay of each game itself is ass.)
You're not even doing a good job of pointing out the good and bad in the game because your desperation in pointing out why a game is good shines through too much in every one of your posts. All I see is "herp I know you guys may think this game is bad, but if you think about it in THIS WAY, its kinda good."
Just stop trying.

Being new to the genre = / = throwing yourself in a fandom
And I've never claimed a game was great or even good solely based on certain aspects, I'm just saying that I dig this and don't dig that about a particular game Frankly, I'm not trying to convince anyone of how good or bad a game is, I'm just throwing my 5 cent at the subject about what I think out of pure boredom

I'm not even gonna respond to this cyclical, let's-go-back-to-where-we-started bullshit. You don't even know how to properly argue something. You disregarded my entire post, or rather did not defend/argue for yourself and mannerisms at all, to say you do what you do because you're bored. That's awesome. Please don't debate for a living. Or review video games. And for the record, I just pointed out why I'm just saying that I dig this and don't dig that about a particular game
was wrong. You basically just said the same fucking thing. Welp. im mad because i dont agree with someone elses opinion and outlook on a game!1
You seem to have missed the entire point of this in order to be witty. But I expected this exact post xd

Well I for one enjoy the Sonic Adventure games because I have a pair of nostalgia goggles permanently superglued to my face.

I enjoyed the second one for about the same reasons.
Contrary to the zeitgeist, I liked the variety of the game changing its mode every level with new objectives and characters, I didn't find the camera to be a problem, I enjoyed the hell out of chao garden even with all its problems, I enjoyed how hectic hunting for the chaos emeralds was, and I appreciated the gameplay extending device of five emblems a level for the replay value it provided.
Meower and Intel Duking it out, not touching that fight with a ten foot pole EDIT: Yeah, I touched it, screw the pole.
