Sonic Generations did the whole side mission thing right, but I think they break the flow of the game immensely.

They did not, believe me. They only helped me enjoy the game even more. Although it'd make more sense if each mission had it's own online ranking, imo. |

I didn't really bother with those extramissions in Sonic Riders. I was pretty much done after I finished the stories.
If SA2:B's extra stage missions count, then they did it right.

I have no idea what's the definition of "missions done right" for you guys, but I'm just gonna bet my 2 cents and say that the Sonic Riders Zero Gravity's missions were for the most part done right. In fact I love the Grinding, Air Riding and Attack Mode Missions, because for the most part they're easy and fun to breeze through.

Seems like a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II beta got leaked, and I got my hands on it through Demonoid. The game plays better than Episode 4, and Sonic feels more like the original games. I took some screenshots while I was playing. You can see my desktop in the first one, I purposely took a full desktop screenshot to prove that it was me playing.   |
