i remember we tried a boss mode back when washy hosted it.
we didn't have the halenext line that most vsh servers had so we just made it whoever killed the boss
also the boss was just a class like a soldier with fuckhigh health

yeah it doesn't have to be competitive, but boss mode is just dumb
that's something to have a mod for, not in official
although all the game modes that are generally liked by everyone are the ones we play in serious matches

That was planned for that modn but it got scrapped because I made the fatal mistake of trying to integrate it into regular maps.
