The Kid feels like a pipboy just with a roll and a trapmine. I want more stuff :<.
He's quite good at all ranges, and comparable to a strong roll from Vault Boy.

Cael Hammer > Super Sledge because of the speed advantage
Carbine Rifle > Combat Shotgun because it does similar damage at longer ranges
Dodge roll gives him really good mobility, and trip mine is great for zone control.

I'm cooking something pretty big for the next update, but depending on how long it takes me to draw and plan it out, it might come later.
Hint: redesign

That's great, I hope your redesign will open up new gameplay styles with The Kid. He always did feel similar to some Pipboy builds.

lol

That redesign hint was actually a new thought, hence the separated paragraph. I'm actually redesigning something else. I'll post more information and examples when I actually sprite stuff for it.

cripple/addiction are plausible. I will see about finding a good implementation for them.

Stop calling him Pipboy.

It's like calling Mario "Gameboy".

Stop caring so much.
It's easier to call him pipboy because that's what most people associate him with.

If that's easier for you to remember, then that's okay.
See here's the thing though about why I still want the Illusionist to be called the Illusionist in the game files:
Pi- Vault boy's name is rarely ever stated, and is apparently even confused sometimes by the games creators
I don't mind people calling my character by a different name as long as they can easily find the correct one.

Hey, KZ, what was the herbal spray supposed to do again? I could poke my nose in there while working on the illusionist.

Well, I put a link to the post, but I don't mind quoting it here for convenience.

Hosting.

Don't abuse the stimpaks you druggies....  Speaking of which, maybe add a % chance of getting addicted and thus making it so you get health but also reduced stats once it wears off?

I like this idea! It not only means that you cannot stimpack forever with no risk, but it also sets him apart from KZ's health injectors.

I also brainstormed a bit and got a neat idea. What if I change my injectors to herb sprays from RE5? You'd use them with Q and M2 like usual, but you'd also have to select them with the 3 key. They also take a couple seconds to restore your health, much like a medic's medibeam, and it makes a green mist when you use it (and a short animation). To counterbalance this length of time it takes to be healed from it, you could make it heal a maximum of 45 HP per herb. I think this would make her injectors less spammable and a tad less OP to fight against, since she would then have to actually cease combat in order to use it rather than injecting right there mid-fight. Though the 5 second time limit inbetween using one (and the massive ten second timer for getting a new injector) is balanced enough, she's still just a LITTLE OP due to her being able to use it immediately mid-fight. If I did this, I would need to visually show that she has no weapon equipped at that time, probably by having her MP5 on her back whenever it's not selected.

Is she fine as is, is this idea too complicated, would this idea make her worse/better?

You'd need me to make sprites for that though, of her holding the spray and her actually using it, either on herself or on a player.

Alright, I lowered most of Vault Boy's weapon base refire speed by quite a bit, specifically the plasma rifle and gauss rifle; I also decreased their base max ammo for those weapons. They are still going to be beastly, but now you're going to have to be more accurate.

Most of the sounds that I've ripped are either from PC games (diablo 2, brood war, starcraft 2, fallout 3, unreal tournament), because they usually have programs that can open the sound archives. Some of the other sounds come from some other rip, like most of the fighting game sounds.

okay and i fixed the crouching weapon offset myself.

You fixed KZ's crouching weapon glitch?? AND you lowered some of Vault boy's stats?? THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! WUV

Haven't played this in so long... completely forgot about all the fun gameplay mechanics this has.
Also, I've a question, does object invisibility work with objects that you can drop down or climb up?
