okay i'm making speculations here but if you're saying Game Maker runs off calculations of collisions, is there no way to read that raw data before it translates into graphical movements? (not sure if that made any sense..)

Well, if you're just worried about the graphics, there have been mods that delete all sprites and backgrounds and disable drawing, but it's not the "console" dedicated server that I assume you're looking for, because it still uses the Game Maker engine to evaluate positions and from there calculate collisions, which is the bulk of problem.
