Gengis Treasure Hunts
Last time we found a neat little statue, that's sure to fetch a pretty penny back home.
Anyways, let's get out of here.

We returned the super,
sacred and
ancient baseball and got some local currency out of it.
I'm pretty sure there's going to be a deep and intricate storyline from all this, but this is a short vacation, we don't have time to save the world or something. So let's steal all of the land's sacred treasure while we can.

Gengis gets a little thirsty, so he takes a swig from his whiskey canteen.

Phew, that was close. Almost sobered up there for a second.

Anyways, using the local currency we bought a camera. For some reason you can't get a camera back home. Gengis snaps a picture of the market.
Photography is an entire skill dedicated to itself, and it's probably one of the easiest skills to master. All you do is point the camera at objects and click. Unfortunately, using a camera brings you into first person and uses the same button as the built-in screenshot function, so we can't really see Gengis holding the camera. But we can look at his photos.
I'll have a segment later at the end of his vacation where we'll do just that.

We also bought some tents and dried food, so we can explore indefinitely now.
"Explore" means "wander around aimlessly" to Gengis.

But Gengis eventually manages to find some gems. That's odd, especially how they seem to make a trail, so we follow them and wind up...

...At this nice oasis-like area. Wow, it's actually really pretty.

Wow! A crashed boat! Gengis takes a picture.
I'm willing to bet the oaf shoved his finger in front of the shot, though.

Let's set up camp here. Gengis takes a quick rest.

Each locale you can vacation at has a certain "focus" and as a result some needs drop faster or slower. Because Egypt's is exploration, practically all needs drop slower. Which is especially helpful when combined with dried food that looks like clumped turds which Gengis is eating here in this picture, and...

This "shower-in-a-can".
No adventure is complete without a shower scene. Oh baby.

You can be pretty self-sustaining out here in Egypt, especially when needs like social interaction or going to the bathroom become practically static. Which is good because Gengis has some particular trouble with the former.

As sunrise comes, we find this neat tomb in the distance.
I have to admit, the scenery is pretty breathtaking here.
Gengis heads inside. It looks pretty unexplored, so there might be some treasure in here!

Oh boy! Rocks!
Rock piles fetch a pretty penny, and can be--
Okay no, rock piles are useless and are just in your way. Your only option is to clear them by hand. Or with a pickax.

Luckily Gengis bought a pickax so we can clear these obstructions with ease.

Gengis, are you really surprised you couldn't clear that in one swing?

Clearing rocks is also considered a work-out, so maybe we can finally get that elusive, single Athletic skill point.

That is if Gengis stops taking a break to scratch his butt every swing.
Oh, who am I kidding? We'll never get that skill point.

Alright, let's see what was behind all that rubble.

A sapphire! That'll be worth something back home.

No wonder this place is unexplored.
Look at all the work we have to do just to walk down this hallway.

This is the worst beach vacation I've ever been to.

Gold? Alright!
Okay, maybe this place isn't too bad.

A hole in the wall? Oh man! This is just like Silent Hill! I hope we'll be able to jump down some holes haphazardly while we're here!
Alright then. Gengis shoves his arm inside.

OH GOD

We activated a switch. The subtle clicking noise apparently startled Gengis.

A segment of the floor slowly declines into a staircase.
That looked pretty cool, I have to admit.

And the staircase leads into a treasure chest!
Let's see here...

We found a thing called the "Insanity Relic". Somebody on the message board was blabbering about that, so let's see if we can trade that in for some big bucks.

As soon as Gengis snags the thing, dirt crumbles from the ceiling and a door opens.
That's a bit creepy, but hey. Gengis doesn't value his life so much and I don't blame him. Let's see what's in this door.

A keystone.
A literal keystone.

Well, let's shove this in that indentation that was at the entrance to the tomb.
The door opens and we find a treasure chest.

Wow!

Look at this thing! This has GOT to be worth something!

Gengis spends the next few hours clearing the rubble and rocks for some more treasure.

This place is just a goldmine!

But what's weird is that the text toolbox keeps on stating the price as relics (which it always does), but it's red. The toolbox is only red for negative indicators, so that's a bit unnerving.

What's even more unnerving is that the wind keeps blowing harshly through the tunnel whenever Gengis picks up a new treasure.
This is getting a bit creepy, so Gengis does what anybody would in this situation.

He sets up camp and sleeps inside the tomb.
Break time! I'm going to take a vacation for myself from posting this, but I'll resume updating in a few weeks.
