on the topic of zelda, how many skulltas do I need to collect before something cool; and or the 1000 rupee wallet isn't cool
I got bombachus last time
fucking bombachus, I think I'm maxed out on them now
Every 10 Skultulas gives you a reward. I think it's Wallet, Stone of Agony, Bombchus, Biggest Wallet and a Heart Piece. Although you may get the Heart Piece before the Biggest Wallet. Then when you get all 100 the father gives you 200 rupees every time you leave and enter the house. Also neat fact that not a lot of people know: You can increase the amount of Deku Nuts and Deku Sticks you can hold at once two times each.

There's nothing that's worth anything that you can't buy with the Big Wallet except for a Zora Tunic.
But you don't even need that tunic anyways. Two minutes is more than enough time to do anything you have to underwater.

I actually finished the whole dungeon without ever asking for the zora tunic because I only had one bottle and didn't want to shuttle back and forth from the ice cavern
also I sorta forgot that you get the tunic from him :I

How do you get only one bottle? You didn't do any of the sidequests?
The hardest bottle to get is just finding 10 Big Poes, and even that isn't too difficult.

I wish I could've played through four swords with at least 3 people in coop instead of by myself. Even still, it's an excellent Zelda experience on it's own in single player. Also, I was playing the gamecube version, just to be clear. I'm expecting to receive a 3ds in the near future and I hear that the gba version of four swords is available on the 3ds store to download for free, so I'll have to look into that.

I'm playing OoT as well, just beat the water temple, still a pain in the ass. :T
AJF, defeat 10 Gold Skulltullas and head back to the house in Kakariko where everyone was cursed. The one guy off to the side jumping will give you the wallet. Head back there every 10 Gold Skulltulla tokens for more stuff, 20 is some rumble pak thing, 30 is the Giant's Wallet, 40 gets you Bombchus and 50 nets you a Piece of Heart. Next prize comes at 100 and that's just a Huge Rupee.

I don't know if it's just me, but I really don't remember the water dungeon being so difficult/bothersome/pain in the ass. The hardest part was fighting shadow link, and that became a since when I realized that he couldn't counter the megaton hammer

It was just really tedious. Going back and forth, raising and lowering the water level, constantly pausing to switch boots, etc

It's a major milestone for gaming. YOU ARENT HARDCORE UNTIL YOU CAN GET 90% OF EVERYTHING IN OCARINA OF TIME BY MEMORY. Also yes the 3DS's Water Temple is ridiculously easier now that iron boots are items now. The puzzles are also "easier" in the sense that you can keep a train of thought without switching in and out of menus.
