I am currently playing Ocarina of Time (no not on the 3DS I don't have that kind of money).
I realised that Half-Life (released around the same time) is basically Zelda with a gun :V

How? Pushing blocks around to solve puzzles. Some aspects of it are quite similar.

I...uh...WHAT? Okay, here the furthest I can go to describe both Half Life AND Zelda:
A silent hero, equipped with a mellee weapon, is saving the world from evil forces that are trying to take over the world. (OF COURSE!) You have to travel around, beating stuff dead and solving puzzles until you reach the final boss. You can change between different items and you can talk to NPCs. Oh, yeah, and mostly, you can ride shit.
Well, if you ask me, this is very vague. I mean, Half Life is in the present/near future, Zelda in the medieval times or something. In HL, you mostly have to beat shit dead, puzzles take a less deep role. In Zelda, you have to solve more puzzles, fightan enemies can be seen as "self defense", except for the bosses. In Zelda, you have a big overworld with dungeons to roam, in HL, you are mostly playing linear.

True. Just there are some similarities in gameplay.

Zelda takes place in its own world where neon lights and television exist before cars or radios.
Besides Half Life and Zelda are only similar in very, very vague details. It's not even worth comparing, it was just a dumb statement.
P.S. there's no real way to 100% OoT without a guide or nearly half a year of playing.

well someone had to write the guide Also OoT are similar in their innovation in how 3d games should work. Originally Zelda was supposed to be in First person, but it still pioneered alot of intuitive control schemes (context sensitive buttons anyone)?

well it's technically fighting
In half life you use the same button to pick up objects as you do to activate switches and whatnot, it's around the same concept
