When there is no determinable light source and shading occurs on all sides, causing the object to resemble a pillow.

I was trying to add a touch of shadow towards the source of light for realism but it backfired completely lol

One way you could have dealt with that is to use less colors to make the shading seem a bit more solid.

For the suit, you could have spaced two or three colors apart a bit further, maybe even get rid of the fourth color all together.

I do that a lot for color referencing. The sunglasses and the gun fit in quite well though.
