Eitherway, I don't really know what to think about the new gravel texture.
Sure, it looks fancier, but IMO it doesn't really look like gravel.
But then again, I always use the Painterly Pack anyway, so...

see i make my own texture pack and therefore do not have the problem of anything looking shitty

I use a mo0dified quandry texture pack but just the sight of that gravel made me want to vomit.

But you gotta give jeb credit for trying, spriting a bunch of little rocks in 16x can be hard.

Maybe your MC executable is fragmented on the HDD so bad that it has to move the head less to get the texture pack.
Or you installed OptiFine.
