First I ever saw? Probably Quake. (Might have actually been Quake II... that memory is a little moldy.)
First I ever played? Probably Duke. (Albeit for about 2min and I had no idea what I was doing.)
First I ever owned? Half-Life. (Well, technically I wanted to own it but had someone else's copy on permanent loan. Yes, this was back in the WON days.)

First fps I ever played: Half-Life 2, at a friend's house in 7th grade, a day after the Orange Box was released.
First fps I ever owned: I went back and bought a ton of old console fps, including Timesplitters 2.
First fps I ever pirated: The original Half life 1, + Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Decay, all of which I've beaten (in that order).

Because besides a really well-made user port the only version is for... Playstation? Or was it the Dreamcast? I can't remember clearly. |

I really found the other expansion packs more enjoying, but if you want the full hal-life experience you gotta play all of them. Or at least that was my philosophy.
