Of which game

Also, I'll be honest here, the character models have never been that good even by psx's standards. Like, Crash's was actually pretty impressive at the time for the number of polygons used on a single player character (compare them to Mario in '64) but other than that some of the other character had really weak 3d models, like Tiny or some of the smaller enemies. Crash 1 had it worst of all, and then they reached a good quality near Crash 3, and dropped it again towards Crash Bash, but at least not as bad as 1. The backgrounds, however, are some of the most inspired in all gaming.

Fun fact, the cutscenes and the boss fights had different character models, actually. In the cutscenes they're much more detailed because they could use some of the polygons they'd waste on the bodies to animate their facial features when they'd try to speak.

Long live the original theme.

Other than that I really hated the first game.

Why? First game was better than the second and the third. Map is awsome, firstly. Cameras, not that bad. Backviews, eeh...
>Mind Over Mutant vs Crash Bandicoot (First game)
I couldn't find any same thing. They ruined the game.
(BTW, my dad loves to play CB, since '96. But he still hates hippos in the Waterfall levels.)

Hm, not really
The second game perfected the control scheme, and the third one added a fuckload more stuff. Also, the second game introduced non-linear gameplay, so that you could choose which level to play rather than do them in succession. It's just much more polished than the first one. Still, no one is gonna stop you from thinking otherwise, mate.

Also yeah all the crash games after Twinsanity are shit. Twinsanity though was mostly fun because of the sexy soundtrack and the fact no one developing, dubbing or screenwriting it was feeling like giving a shit.

I remember I got really far in Twinsanity, then voluntarily went all the way back to the first island. I accidentally went into a tunnel that triggers a cutscene and it literally set my save file all the way back. It was pretty funny.

I read about various devs talking about Twinsanity, aside from the fact 80% of the content had been cut because of time, money or both of them, it was supposed to be a "serious" adventure to make it up for the weak games they'd made with the CB franchise, then they realized they REALLY ran out of shits to give and just started tossing jokes at each other. They had to ship the game extremely fast, too, so they just went on with the "funny" mindset rather than develop the game they were asked for, and imo even though it's filled with bugs and glitches, it still manages to be so much more entertaining than the rest of the later franchise. It's still mediocre, but it's one of those games where it's fun to fuck around.

Twinsanity is different from others. In first CB, you haven't got choosing section. Must follow storyline. In second, as Meower said, you can choose levels and finishing levels with collecting purple crystals. The third one is as same as CSB.
Twinsanity is CB's changing period. Storyline, collecting crystals, backgrounds, fun to play, levels...
Damn, Meower. I want to play Twinsanity right now. z7

You mean the beta-beta music, or the regular stuff?
