That explains why it looks like he did something with some marginal effort (of making geometric shapes in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and filling them with gradients).
Anything that looks slightly not bad winds up just being made through a program. Every other character is either MS Paint, looks like that, or has their hands on their hips and staring directly at the screen from some other program.

His name is Bastard and he has mighty strength! He lost his nose in the fight with a hedgebear, but due to lucky circumstances he got brightly colored wings from a hedgefairy that enable him to fly at the speed of sound, except 4 times as fast. As he gained this ability, he had the urge to test the limits of his new powers. However he got sucked into a vacuum and made a pact with the devil to get even mightier strength. As a result he grew spikes on his head and his eyes turned red. The green fur on his chest symbolizes friendship.  |

I was reading this on the front page of the Wiki. Kagimizu has made a blog concerning the improvement of SFW. Look here for more information. Not sure if he means the improvement of cutting down on NSFW articles or just improving all work-safe articles. Either way, God knows I'm never going to those NSFW articles. ... Oh wait. BleedingHeart was born almost as a vampire the reason she was named bleedingheart because she was born completly Red (The purple isnt her natural color!) Those proportions gave me a heart attack. Would watch again.
