I don't know, my family says that it got easier to level, quests are more fun, and all that jazz. My dad's paying for two accounts anyways, so I might pick up WoW again to see what this expansion's like

I love how everybody generalizes people who play WoW as fat people who just sit at a computer all day, but that is exactly what 90% of the forums does all the time. The irony is just astounding.

Well now The Burning Crusade stuff has become the worst stuff in the game, which makes me sad.

But who listens to the fourms, amirite?

If you're not fat, why should we be?

My roommate last year did nothing but play this for fun. Even when hanging out with friends, he'd plop his laptop out and start doing whatever it is that you're supposed to do with that game. He used to be a sociable being

I have an addictive personality, so I'm not tempted to ever play this.

Good call. But I wouldnt blame WoW for your roomates behavior. This could just have easily happened with Warhammer Online or Champions Online or Fallout 3 or what ever.

I'm not even sure why he plays WoW, considering he doesn't even play any other games. He just started playing one day and never stopped.

I even tried weaning him off of it with some Super Meat Boy, but he put it down after a few minutes to "go raid with my clan," whatever that means.

I can lay it down for you like this. This is the thought process I subconsciously had, while playing and I'm sure many other players have.

(When leveling)
"Oh man! Look at that spell i just got! Wow, it destroyed that boar! Oh, that spell looks even cooler! If I get that one, I'll be able to crush anything!" Repeat until level cap when it becomes either;

(While raiding)
"Look at that item that just dropped! If I can get the rest of the set, I can move on to (insert more difficult dungeon here). And the bosses there drop this item set, which if i get all of them, I can then move on to (insert more difficult dungeon here)."

(While playing PvP)
"All I need is another (insert number) of honour from the battleground, then I can get this item, which will allow me to get even more honour."

You don't have to know what the jargon means, but the general jist is that you level/raid/PvP so you can do it better.

I know right. I keep trying to play cutscenes and the game crashes.
