You don't seem to understand how brainless the extra 2 players can be, but still make a major difference. Constructors could just plop down a sentry and spam m1 in your general direction. Firebugs can rush you endlessly. They only have to be smart enough to know not to run straight into overweight fire, or when to retreat to get healed. As long as they know how to do that, the healer can build uber faster than the 4 man team one. It's bullshit for the 4 man team to deal with the added dps, that quite frankly takes no skill to do.

i think with a 10 sec respawn you can pretty much rely on pubs giving easy picks for the heavy and solly, and the long respawn keeping them down long enough for the pros to fight the remaining pubs, and pretty much put the pubs into a cycle where they lemming rush one at a time rather than altogether. mids would be the most painful though, since the pubs would be forced into arriving at once and mass spam.

problem would be organizing pubs that dumb into playing a match

No, seriously, half the matches I play these days are good players outnumbered by spamming pubbers

None of these random ideas that you guys are presenting are ever going to fly. Did you ever put in any serious thought into how it will be organized, gameplay concerns or balance issues?

This isn't a dumping ground for random ideas. Stop posting them or I'm going to have to start deleting posts.

 You're accusing people of not putting enough thought into their ideas, but isn't that exactly why they're turning to this thread in the first place? It's pretty obvious you don't think very highly of the people in this thread, so you probably know what I mean when I say that a lot of people are too lazy or dumb to flesh out an idea by themselves. An idea is always going to seem flawless and hunky-dory at first, so you'll always have people dropping off their ideas here and bouncing them off of other people whether you like it or not. I think what's going on within the confines of the thread as of now is fine; people post their potential threads here so others can help discuss and shape the idea, or just shoot it down and bury it. What I mean to say is that this thread is already doing a pretty good job in restricting "useless random ideas that will never fly" from forming their own useless threads, and that asking people to simply "be smart you idiots" is a bit of a reach.

Clkiller/Stonetribe/Invisibull are pubs, I guess(Although they're still apparently active on the forums, just not POSTING), but Bender and Ichigo are quite active on here.

Unless you're using "pub" as a measure of skill...which is not what it means to most people.

I've considered myself a pub from day 1 until I deleted my account the 2nd time. I've always considered myself a pub. It's why I don't compete in competitive matches or join tourneys. I'm much more at home in a pub match. Shit, even in the god damn TF2 Pubs vs Pros, they were pubstars, not random players.

If it does go ahead, it could be run by having, say, 4 teams of pubs, who take it in turns to fight the pros.
And why not just make it 5 v 4? That would give the pubs an advantage, while they still have to use strategy to win.

The Pubs vs Pros idea doesn't have to be so elementary as you're making it seem. In the TF2 Pubs vs Pros it's 6 v 9. There is obviously going to be measures taken to make the teams more evenly matched. I can think of pretty good Pubs vs Pros teams off the top of my head.

I don't see why this is such a bad idea to you. In terms of fairness, I think it's fair, if not sided with the Pubs. Teamstacking wouldn't be much of a problem if you use methods to curb it like the TF2 Pros vs Pubs.

Has anyone thought of how hard it would be to organize this? "Pubs" aren't on the forums very much, and are not guaranteed to have Vinmod or any form of communication with the organizers.
