I really can't nominate them until I see a real 4v4 on them. Some we played on were fun, but they may not be so in 4v4.

@Comp: Definitely a problem. I can talk to Kizzi or edit that myself at some point.

Meh, anything to promote offclasses is okay with me.

I didn't really feel like the sightlines were very useful, because it's really easy to hide behind the heavy, and there's nit many times where the medic is forced to  get out from behind the hoov. Comp would get like 1 hit in on the medic, then get raped because he gave away his position. Maybe I wasn't there long enough to feel the full effect of it, but I hunk it'll make some interesting strategies. There's be like a whole utility sub-fight going in where the teams try and counter snipe or have the scout try and take out the sniper. It would be really annoying if the teams weren't coordinated, but I don't think it should be too much of a problem with good players.

I'm more worried about rocketspam down those paths.

FYI, having large sight lines without good angles doesn't make sniper OP. This is why ctf_colors isn't as sniper friendly as you guys like to think. If you're cooped up in the top sniper tower, you can only shoot the middle hill and some of the top bridge. If you're on the middle tower (underneath the intel) you can still only hit the same two spots. Sniping on the main route isn't as problematic because it narrows the Rifleman's threat to that area alone. Not to mention that it is easy to get  behind a healed meatshield, because they don't have a good angle to hit you from. You can see a lot in straight lines, but you will have a narrow passive space.

Any map that gives large sight lines, few alternate routes, AND good angles to pick off shots makes sniper OP. ctf_classicwell makes sniper OP, because even though the sight line is narrow, there's no alternate path at all to approach (this is a common theme amongst rocketspam locations too).

exactly. also it's a common theme as rocketspam follows the exact same principle, a projectile or bullet that travels straight forward.

TL;DR: sniper is OP and rocketspam happens (most often) only when the sight lines are long (straight paths), there aren't many other routes besides the straight/long ones, and there are nice places form which to shoot everyone (good angles)
