So how about it ? The health scan idea seems pretty good. But how far will the range actually be ?

I'd say halfway to the edge of the screen at most.

Sounds good. Should it be unlimited or with a slight cooldown ?

I never liked 1 use items with cooldowns.

so unlimited when cloaked. i don't think it'll be too gamebreaking.

I don't see a reason for cooldown. It means unnecessary complexity and we'll have to decide on a new button.

Then let us completely forget cooldown. I'm happy with half a screen distance with no special buttons or cooldowns. You just move you mouse over enemies to see their health. It isn't hard to understand for everyone who never reads READMEs (which a lot do) and it isn't really OP because the spy must still get very close to it's target before seeing it's health so it's not completely without risk.

Alright then, I just proposed the cooldown idea because I thought other people would think it's way too powerful if it was unlimited, but apparently I was wrong.

Spies should not have blood then it would be hard to spy check.

Sorry. But I don't think a cooldown is needed (although I was one of the proponents of the idea before). Without a cooldown it would be so much more obvious how to use it and I don't think that would be OP because if it is, just shorten the range (and raise the risk).

This is actually a good idea. Right now it's too easy to get spotted just because you got hit by a stray bullet.

I'm all for trying this out, so long as the spy still flickers.

However, the Damage Indicator plugin will make the buff moot, so if this change is going to be implemented, you'd have to alter the DI plugin to not display damage when hitting a cloaked spy.
