How about being able to turn while stabbing instead of moving?
sounds too easy to fix messed up stabs

give 50 damage uncloak instant backstab

Yeah moving current stab is weird, if you want a moving stab make a new lower damage one for when he's uncloaked

can be smaller hitbow, actual backstab

would just be m1 checks to see if anyone is in normal stab hitbox, and if someone is weapon changes to stab and attacks. Also follows same canattack rules as revolver, just doesn't subtract ammo

that way people can dodge the stab by being inside the spy big stab hitbox but facing the opposite direction as the spy (not a backstab) so spy either has to get the player out of his stab hitbox or maneuver into backstab position

also what if revolver had more knockback. Wouldn't really make too much of a difference, but would help him get away from pursuing enemies by slowing them down, and hitting airborne enemies would be more rewarding as the distance they would fly would be reduced eg slowing down jelloing scoots jumping over bridges by airshooting them

Revolver is supposed to be a stealth weapon, it doesn't help if the second you shoot someone they go flying forward for no explained reason

Don't all guns have a little knockback to begin with? It's just that the minigun's is noticable because of the spray of bullets.

all firearms have recoil, but if you're used to it you can learn to keep your balance and keep running

but video games aren't realistic anyways

All weapons except for the stab, bubbles, fire, rifle, and autogun have knockback.
