Wow, this mod...so...beautiful... *insert generic love song here*

By the way KZ, how much will I have to beg you for your Gordon Freeman sprites? I want them for a personal project (as in, will probably never see the internet), and I've been looking for some good Gordon Freeman sprites. I can only imagine the work you went through to make the sprites that awesome!

So basically, I just want Gordon's basic moving poses, his death pose, his gun, and his taunt. At least I'm asking you for them, and not trying to steal them, right?  Angel

I'm sorry, I just finished giving out a pack of sprites to someone else.. give it some time and I might reconsider! I do like how you were very very specific about what you wanted, that's very nice of you. Still, you should send me a PM instead, since I'm trying to ignore sci-fi mod until the next big update to GG2, I'm devoting all my time to Halo mod right now. That's also the main reason why I'm asking for time, since I'm quite busy right now.

Oh, and thank you for the compliment! I'm really glad you like it, a lot of work was put into it!  z6

It's cool, I understand. Hope you do as well in the Halo and RE mods as you did with this one!

I know one thing, the sprites in RE mod are gonna be WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Sci-Fi mod! It takes me weeks to make one taunt animation for these characters because of all the detail that goes into making just one sprite for that mod!

How much a day do you dedicate to that one sprite?

If you're asking about a whole character, it depends on who it is. For instance, my punch animation for Albert Wesker has taken up about a collective week of time, and it's only HALF done. However, my Jack Krauser sprites were pretty easy to make.

If you're asking me how much time it takes to make just one sprite, again, it depends on who the sprite's of. It's mostly hair and clothing that takes up my time when making a sprite, due to how the light hits the hair strands, the shadows in the clothing wrinkles, etc. If the character has little hair and very flat, form fitting clothes, then they're easy to make. If they have elaborate clothes and a full head of hair, then they take a lot of time to finish. For instance, my Splinter Cell mod (an obscure mod I finished in a day for a contest) took 6 hours to finish. Look at that mod to see an example of how I'm doing sprites these days. Think 32 bit Sega style rather than 16 bit SNES style, which was how Sci-Fi mod was styled.

Yes, I now take into account how the LIGHT hits a pixel of hair with these new sprites.

Awwww, thank you, DT! I developed a mighty tolerance for tedious, mind numbing work during my days in computer repair, specifically during my apprenticeship days. My boss had me doing the most stupidly boring shit ALL... DAY... such as categorizing every single tiny part on some hardware, finding drivers for every single part in the shop (even obscure ones that haven't been used since about the 90's  z9), among other things. Writing down the long serial numbers of parts and looking them up online was the worst of it though... Good lord that was boring..

Still! Yes, both me and my boyfriend are pushing our skills to the limit to make something that'll surpass all our mods!

We may even put achievements in it if people want them enough.

You guys have a centralized server where you can save stuff like accounts?

Huh?? I dunno what you're talking about, I'm talking about little things you can do that unlock trophy icons and descriptions of what that trophy means.. y'know.. like an Xbox 360 achievement, or a PS3 trophy.

Neu said he's programming a complicated 1's and 0's based thing where achievement information would be stored. I don't know how any of that works.. But anyway, you do something cool in game, and a little trophy graphic pops up and gets saved in your personal archives menu. Like, kill 4 people in a row within 6 seconds as Wesker (Superior Genetics), or kill someone with a bubble (Spanish Plagues), etc.

It'd just be for fun, a neat little challenge kind of thing. It'd probably be easy to hack, but I don't know why you'd want to anyway, since that would take the fun out of getting the achievement in the first place.

If worries about hacking are irrelevant, then why not just store it in the .ini file?

Because that would mean making that ini. file broken for your other GG2 games! I keep having to reset all my settings whenever I go into the settings option of Resident Evil mod, due to there being one extra setting in there. And when I change the settings back in a non-RE mod, it deletes those extra settings from the .ini. Imagine unlocking one of the hardest to unlock achievements (Rookie of the Year for instance, where you have to make it through the whole game without dying as medic, heal at least 1,000 HP, and pop at least 2 ubers), only for it to get erased when you use another version of GG2.

That achievement I just mentioned isn't impossible, I've seen Techno Viking do it before. It'll be Techno Viking level hard, but it's not IMPOSSIBLE!

But if it's in the ini file, it's a simple change.

But if it's in the ini file, it's a simple change.

Ini files get rewritten accourding to what options are available in your GG2's settings. As I said.

If you have just one extra thing, it erases the old ini. settings and puts in a new one. I should know, I keep having to turn kill cams back off every time I switch between Mercs and a mod with normal GG2 settings.

Trust me, puting achievements in that wouldn't work. With a setting you can just turn it back on/off, but with an achievement you've got to reEARN it.

Wonderful mod, my only question is this:
Is this mod only a sprite mod? Like, can I play on non-modded servers with this mod?
