Just tried out this mod. It's amazing. Great job man, I mean woman.
Also, I love the cp sfx from Star Wars Battlefront 2, it's one of my favorite games
I'm surprised anyone else noticed! Only like, one or two others have actually commented about that! When I started making this, I had to think of something neat to replace the "captured the point" sound effect with... and it hit me: Battlefront 2! The whole GAME was one big CP match! It was perfect!
What's the song when your team loses or goes into stalemate? It's so sad and dramatic
It's a song from Half Life 2, it plays when you get out of Ravenholm riiight before the dune buggy sequence inside a warehouse! I don't know what it's called, but when I heard it in game (and on a few Machinima's) I just had to use it!
I closed the game and my sound wont go off, SW music is playing in my head.
I dunno why the sounds won't stop playing.. in all the time I've been playing it (since mid production almost three months ago) I never had the sounds keep playing after I shut down the program... maybe that's a problem with your compy??
This is the best mod around right now
no question about it
Ignoring that vinmod has console, plugins, and whatever else it has, it's basically better because this mod has chat, too. (just stating the obvious, mah friend)
And if it didn't?
It's ripped code, so it shouldn't count towards it.
Well it does so let's leave it at that. Don't know what you mean by "ripped" because Vindi gave KZ the source.
Vindi didn't give it to me, it was posted directly up on the front page in the last build for others to use (not the latest, but I think the one before it). At the time I was new to modding, so I didn't know I didn't need the source to run Vinchat, so I just downloaded it to be safe. Cut ahead about 7 months later and while looking for the GG2 source in my folder, I find that and used it as the source to work on. At first I didn't realize that I was using Vinchat's source, but once I did I decided to keep it! (I myself didn't want to have to choose between my own mod and Vinchat)
I think it should count in its favor because most modder's don't think to add it.. which makes a dilemma. People would have to actually stop and think, "Do I want the chat.. or do I want the new mod..?" I used the Vinchat source as my mod's starting point so you don't have to choose between them!
