hey killah, i think i have a suggestion. how about adding more laughs? like one for the doc? also, how did you get these heads to move? are they part of the weapons?

The heads aren't a part of the weapons, if you actually look closely, you'll see that they have a maximum tilt. It would look weird if their heads could aim perfectly straight up! Besides, if the heads were a part of the weapon sprites, they'd fly off their necks and float around whenever you aimed up or down. As for how it works, I have no idea, that's Neu's area of expertise. He's the one that makes ALL the code, I make the sprites and add the sound effects. He's a code wizard, but he's not as good at sprites. I'm a sprite guru, but that confusing code malarky gives me a headache. We go together like peanut butter and jelly, I guess you could say. Seperately we're only average, but when we come together we make something tasty!

I actually considered attaching some laughter quotes to the Z5's or Z6's soon after making the Predator laugh. To be honest, I'm trying to keep the size of the game as small as possible (it's at an insane size of 25 MB's right now, and it's mostly sound effects  ).

I don't think I've ever heard a Stormtrooper laugh.. or Korben Dallas.. or Boba Fett.. Certainly not Terminator or Egon, those two have NO sense of humor. Gordon Freeman's a cut up, and while I can think of dozens of great moments where he's laughed in Half Life 2, I don't think I can find any anywhere without downloading the game itself. Darn!

So that leaves Doc, Geordi, Predator and Yoda as the only ones with laughs.

As cool as the idea is.. well.. If it were just two or three characters with no laugh, it wouldn't be that big a deal, but if I start adding it to normal characters, it'll have to be done to ALL of them.. or at least most of them.

With it only working for Predator, it makes it a specific feature for him, one that's meant to freak out other people playing Sci-Fi mod. One character having that feature makes more sense than just a tiny handful of them, y'know? It would be like only arming 3 our of 9 stormtroopers. It wouldn't matter so much if there were 7 armed troopers, but 3 makes it weird. You could at least pretend that only the trooper commander gets a weapon but his subordinates don't, but it wouldn't make sense to only arm a tiny number.

It's a good idea and it would make you feel even more like you're playing as Yoda or Doc or whichever, but it wouldn't fit since so few of the characters actually ever laughed. Sorry.. I'd still like to hear more from you, you definitely seem to have many ideas!

i found the preds reaction quite shocked in the first movie when he got ambushed by the puny human he had been tossing around.

you know, the fireworks scene or what ever.

Perhaps. But are there any sounds I could use from that scene? I'm afraid not.

Read the news section for info on the update! It's compatable with the new GG2 build, and it has a few new cool features.

I never rip it, actually. When I was little, I had to learn how to make it spread without tearing up the bread because it was embarassing to ask and it irritated daddy to have to do it for me (mom hated peanut butter, so I never had to ask her to do it since she never had it around). I use creamy, not chunky, and spread it with a spoon so that it smushes out instead of just curling around all over the knife and making a mess.

Z3? That might work.. I'll look for something appropriately angry (that's not angrier his taunt yell), I'm sure I can find something.

On the second idea, same problem with the z6's, if I change his   , I'll have to change it for everyone else so it's all evened out.

The   lightsaber idea was already suggested earlier in the thread (I think, I might have thought of it on my own, I don't really remember either way), but the glowy lightsaber wouldn't fit on the bubble, nor would you be able to see it that well. It would also confuse you for a second while you try to make out what it is and what it means. Ackbar replacement was perfect because it flat out TOLD you what it meant, "IT'S A TRAP!" so there's no confusion.

As for the last suggestion, the whole "team theme" going on is Star Wars vs. Star Trek. It displays the Imperial insignia and plays the Imperial march when you win on red team, and it shows the Starfleet logo and plays the Star Trek: TNG theme song when you win on blue. The insignias are also displayed on all the CP icons, and there's seperate sirens on CP matches for blue and red. For blue, captain Picard will say, "red alert; all hands to battle stations!", while on red it'll have an Imperial officer say in a posh accent, "victory is ours!"

It would make more sense to replace those two icons with their actual team insignias.

He already hisses when he misses a stab, and he does his trademark clicky growls whenever you z5.

I really don't think there's any sounds I haven't already used for him.. sorry.

if you need predator sounds for future uses, avp2 has a lots of them.

i dont mean the movie.

I only use the movies for dialogue since they're the most recognizable, and are generally the clearest (meaning without any other sound effects in it, like gunshots or other voices or such).
