well another reason AVP was made was to explain the whole predator pistol thing basically
the predators came here in the ancient mayan times where the myans worshiped them
they came to earth everyone 100 years demanding a sacrafice (blah-blah-blah)
they fought aliens (one lost and blew up the entire myan race)
they still come every 100 years and in (im guessing) 1700's they found some pirates or something were they kill them because they tried to steal their guns (whch they keep in a myan temple (now in antartica [which pirates could get to])
and they killed them and took their skulls and pistols as treasure.

I think it was just because Danny Glover seemed drunk half the movie, such as the famous punch scene where he sort of mutters "fuck you," and the general bad acting and screenplay. I liked the wisecracking white cop though.

The part about the Mayans made no sense to me. Why would the Predators try to preserve their technology NOW when they flat out TAUGHT the humans in the past? Why would predator tradition dictate that they suicide via explosive in order to eradicate any trace of their being there when they used to OWN the human race? It would be like hiding from your dog when you came into the house just to screw with him.
And no, a Mayan temple in the antarctic makes no bloody-bollucks sense. None. It would be like finding a sombrero in Greenland back in the 1400's, or finding a Pizza Hut buried underneath Egypt in 1885. |

No, Antarctica wasn't connected to South America during Mayan times. That's impossible. And they never taught anything like that in any history class.

Considering that you can just change the controls in the options menu, that's not a problem. Besides, calling it a "problem" implies that it's something that I should fix. Vanilla GG2 doesn't have it like that, and if I changed it to permanently be that, it would confuse people who just downloaded the game. |
