Well, what I did to better myself was to take examples from many different styles of drawing and found the kind I like, which is based strongly on the style and anatomy. I alo developed a guideline system, in which I'd draw a skeleton in the pose I want, then draw around it using my mechanical pencil and my handy dandy kneaded eraser.

Nice picture, honestly, I'd feel it'd be better though without the tea in the picture, and perhaps some type of background in the window.
