Well thanks to the LA school system being poor as shit, we can't take classes to 'get ahead' in summer school,
fuck me that means private tutoring
I wonder if I can work out a deal where I get HS credits from tutoring... hmm.

i swear, it's either parents who don't give a fuck that their child is failing everything, or basically disowns their child because they got an A-
I guess the mentality is that you either suck at basketball and miss the hoop entirely (parents who don't give a shit) or that hitting the rim doesn't count (hard-ass parents). |

If I can recall correctly, anything above an 85 is a 4.0.
So the point of the GPA system is to show that you're pretty ok at everything.
In Canooda, it's basically unweighted averages. I had like an 86 average or something, which got me into honours engineering with co-op at Waterloo, but my GPA was like 3.9 because all of my marks were pretty much 85-89.

Some schools use as 4.0 scale instead of a 5.0 scale.
Also I got my transcript for my photography class. I got a solid 98% and a cool little certificate saying I know how to take pictures.

It depends, in many(most?) places in America a 90 is the lowest A, not an 85.
