It's a customary science class.

Oh my god, that was hilarious. One guy played a +400 point card on himself, and then I played a card to make it worth -1000

What'd you need the saliva for, anyways?
I can recall a DNA extraction exercise that would work.

So my friend at school's cousin is sick and I get his ticket for a Van Halen concert tomorrow. Can't wait, it'll be great. Had my first comedy show a week or so ago, now for my first rock concert.
I guess this is school-related because my mom is nice enough to let me miss school the next day due to being tired (the concert's gonna end around 11)

11pm 2late4babbygooko Your mom is pretty cool though I guess, I've had to pull all nighters sometimes to finalize school work and shit, getting little (>2hrs) or no sleep at all and still went to school

That's what you (and I) get for procrastinating.

I spent almost every day of the following week up until about 2 doing homework and catching up. I had to go to school every day. I'm honestly surprised that she offered to let me stay home for 11pm, I didn't even have to ask.

I spent almost every day of the following week up until about 2 doing homework and catching up. This seems like a compelling reason not to skip school.

I was sick but yes skipping school is a very bad idea Yes. I mean: If you skipped school involuntarily (because you were sick) and real bad things happened, then skipping school voluntarily (because you will be tired) seems like a bad idea, as you say.

My policy: If you potentially feel too sick to go to school when you wake up, but you're not sure if you're just tired or overreacting, the best way to find out is to pretend you will; go through the motions.
If for one reason or another you find yourself literally unable to complete your normal wake up routine or your routine is severely disrupted by your illness in some way (Eating is difficult, you begin vomiting, you continue having a sore through and coughing or sneezing even after having had some water, etc.), then you tell your parents you can't go to school that day.
Each morning, regauge yourself with that metric and stick to your normal routine if you can. After you find whatever was interrupting your routine has gone away, use that as your last day off and spend the day finishing all the things you were supposed to do when out.
If you know you're sick after doing the above test however, stay home, spreading your sickness all over your school is a dickish move, regardless of the excuse you give yourself.
