Guyse quicke trouble shoutinge (and no delete system 32 jokes)
My pc suddenly froze and BSOD me, resetting 4 times. After a few minutes, it starts again, just as normal, but the fan is like crazy loud now, I have no idea why. I tried to open up the case and take off the dust, then, upon resetting, it was quiet for a few seconds, then it started slowly making more and more noise. Now it's as noisy as the first time it made that noise.
What should I do?
hit it with a stick  Probably replace the fan that's making the noise. If it's a stock computer it's more likely than not the CPU fan, and if the CPU fan is malfunctioning, it'll overheat and BSOD. try really cleaning it where it rotates, see if there's dust buildup on the fan or the heatsink That's what I did, yet...now it kinda stopped, but I feel like it's still not functioning correctly. Maybe I should try cleaning it up again? |

Mal, people get used to low frame rates. It's just like how our eyes dilate when we are in dark conditions. If we were to stay in dark areas for a prolonged amount of time, our pupils would be huge. This is the same thing with framerate. Now stop being dicks and stop making fun of vindi. He spends the money that he earns (unlike most of you who just ask mommy or daddy for whatever you want) on something that he enjoys. If this continues I'm locking the thread.
Meower, regarding your problem. The two pieces of information you gave us could be completely unrelated. But to me it sounds like your heatsink is malfunctioning. Try turning on the computer without the side part of the case and see if the heatsink fan is spinning correctly. Also, what type of computer do you have?

Phenom 2 x4 965 BE (Got a good core, overclocks to 4Ghz with no voltage changes and little heat difference with the stock (loud) fan)
GTX 460 (The 1Gb sonic - 465 sucks and I can't bring myself to spend 250 on a 470)
Two 1TB HDDs, one 500GB, one 80GB and one 40GB external who's wire is stuck in the case
4Gb 1600 OCZ gold (Fucking DDR3 boards won't take 8GB :E)
Awesomely cheap 20 quid mouse with weights and programs and marcos and shit that people charge you shitloads for
And a £15 case with a hole cut in the side to fit a slightly bigger fan :3
