I thought Post Picture was for general pictures of anything remotely interesting.

So I woke up to find a metric fuckton of bots on my phpBB board today. Anyone know how to prevent this? I've deleted all the users and banned that entire subnet, but now I'm seeing more from different ip's lol.
I don't even know how the hell they found my board, it's obscure as shit.

You have a link to it in your sig. That's already more than enough for bots to find it. And, while I certainly am no expert in that area, I think that the captchas you're using for registration are too easy to read for a computer. Maybe you could add a question in the registration field that cycles randomly, like "What is the IP adress of the Terraria and GG2 server?" or something.

Ok people I need help: I'm looking to buy a new monitor for my PC. It needs to be 1080p, needs to have AT LEAST one HDMI and one DVI/VGA (to be able to connect my PC and PS3 at the same time) and needs speakers (or any way to connect speakers to it), in the range of 130-180€. I already had one in mind but I just realized it doesn't have speakers, which would led to no sound coming from my PS3. Do any of you have any suggestions? EDIT Do any of you have any critics on this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

read this post about minors without looking at the last page first, and I thought you were encouraging rodo to hunt for young women.

oh hey I heard lots of good things about the 330 Well, I am not audiophile, so I can't talk about the sound quality. (I couldn't tell the difference between a cheap 2€-headphone from china and a state-of-the-art headphone that costs a fortune) However, it is very comfortable to wear and keeps outside noice out quite reliably. Also, it feels very solid and is certainly a major step-up from this 25€-Bluetooth-Headset I used until now.

I got a new laptop and I got a "Job" repairing computers. I say "job" in quotes because people started coming to me for no apparent reason with no prior information to indicate that I am good at repairing computers and they're paying me to fix them. Don't know why.

I know that feel. And if they come to you with something you have no knowledge about (like, say, a iPhone) and you are supposed to do something with it, then they "thought that you are good at computers". It is really pissing me off that everybody thinks "Well, he has good knowledge of computers, and a computer is in everything nowadays" and they connect the nonexistant dots and conclude that you are a master of everything technology related. :V By the way, my mother literally thinks that. I'm not kidding.

Anything apple related can be fixed easily, or deemed "unfixable", by a simple google search due to how large their userbase is and how little customization each customer is given. If someone has a problem with their iPhone, it is likely that many others have already had that problem and possible come up with a fix.
shame on you

That was just an example as I have never used an iPhone, so if anyone comes to me with a iPhone problem I would have to do a google search for them instead of being able to fix it on my own (as long as the answer isn't obvious like "How do I move them symbols derp"). Granted, I have more technology knowledges and can do better searches as, say, "set up adress book sync between iphone and outlook" prolly yields more useful results than "get e-mail contacts on iphone", but still.

I think the cheaper one will do much better, as it is an oc edition and you get extra stuff with it too.

man learning all the commands in vi is a bitch at first plus I accidentally mod_ssl and i'm not entirely sure what I did wrong Also we really want to strangle the help desk people that put in web services tickets for people that call in and, you know, don't even get a fucking name from the person so we can contact them to clarify the incredibly requests we get. This would less irritating if it wasn't, you know, the boss down there that did it yesterday. Have I mentioned I'm really glad I've never had to work at a help desk?
