Unless you expect to run like 2 programs at a time get a dual core.

Is it possible to run 3 hard drives at the same time? (Yes, I'm still on the idea of combining computers.)

I have the sudden urge to weld two computers together. I wonder if it would be at all possible to run a computer with two motherboards

read this post about minors without looking at the last page first, and I thought you were encouraging rodo to hunt for young women.

Anyone have a sandforce SSD? I'm thinking of getting an ocz vertex but not sure how reliable it is.

You could stick two computers in a single case, if that's what you mean, but that's dumb and probably not possible anyway since you don't have a case that size. Anyone have a sandforce SSD? Reliability isn't an issue, if they can't operate like they say they can for the warranty period then they wouldn't be able to sell it. If you're worried about the R/W degradation after the warranty period, then you really shouldn't be buying an SSD. Considering capacities will increase and price will decrease significantly in the near future, you have to accept that you will be replacing it within two or three years.

Ah. Well that's probably a good reason to pick something else. The SSD I have is actually a generic brand (by the local computer store, Microcenter), 280mb up and down, haven't had a problem with it. Also, I'm very tempted to buy another of my ssd and raid it... 120gb of sweet ~500mbps goodness

hm yeah I think I'll go with a mushkin one. Seems to be a lot less complaints.
Also anyone know how long it'll take hard drive prices to go down?

SSD or Harddrives? SSD's have been around the same $/GB for quite a while, but HDDs see regular decreases around every quarter.

I mean the spike due to the flooding. It's going to cost me $100 just for 500 gb of wd blue, so if it's going to go down some time soon i might as well hold off buying one.

There happens to be a flood in Thailand a couple days ago. Thats where they have factory making hard disks. So, HDD prices are relatively high because of the low production ratee.
