Ive been having mint on a partition for a while now, but I never ever touch it, linux wants me to install drivers myself, and when i tried it didn't work.

first time i started mint it was all "o hai, i herd you like/need drivers, how about THESE ONES: " and i was like "lol, k sure, looks good", the it did it all for me and everything worked perfect  then when i got a new DVD drive it would immediately close before it was even done opening... so i updated drivers in like 30 seconds and all was gud. maybe im just lucky

I looked at 3/4 pages on the therad about today's downtime, they all said ot was oct 16 So i posted if it was down today, only to go to page 3 and realise

What drivers, for what hardware? Wlan device drivers. oic probably will have to install it manually if the hardware manger no detect unless by myself does refer to manually
