I caught up on the translated chapters of One Outs last night. Been enjoying it a fair bit, and the current arc is starting to get interesting. Don't be fooled by the subject matter; I don't care about baseball whatsoever, but I love gambling manga and this is really just a gambling manga that happens to be about baseball. Only gripe is that the first arc was pretty bad. That, and the authour tends to draw black characters kinda offensively. |

I caught up on the translated chapters of One Outs last night. Been enjoying it a fair bit, and the current arc is starting to get interesting. Don't be fooled by the subject matter; I don't care about baseball whatsoever, but I love gambling manga and this is really just a gambling manga that happens to be about baseball. I don't really think that highlighting certain features of a black character is considerable as a form of racism. When it happens with ALL black characters ON PURPOSE, or if they make them do specifically stereotypical actions (I'm naturally referring to the chicken and watermelon thing) then it's completely 100% KKK lever of racism. |
