Something for Ultros: Kaiji seems to be very similar to liar game.
I've been meaning to read Kaiji, Akagi, and Liar Game. Heard they were really good. You know what's an absolutely silly manga? Akumetsu. Go read it. |

I never did finish Kaiji; E-card was great, but the arc before that involving crossing the narrow platform was horribly drawn out and pretty much terrible.
Akagi is completely and totally awesome, but if you don't know how to play Mahjong, you'll have a hard time following it. Though personally, I'd say it's worth learning to play just for the sake of being able to watch Akagi.

Bump because I just finished blew through Clannad After Story in two days after putting it off for so long
Emotional Roller Coaster, had me crying quite a bit actually. I'd definitely recommend anyone who hasn't watched Clannad to do so
Yes, I'm like years late, but I don't care
Need to knock a few more series off my list, gonna try out Baccano soon

Marathoned all of Hajime no Ippo and New Challenger in around 2 weeks, seeing as I watched almost 100 episodes that's not too bad.
Now on to Eden of the East and Michiko to Hatchin.
